Game's Influence

Ah yes, Toads first appearance as a staring role, this game appeared on the NES, SNES, Satellaview, and most recently the game became available for download on the Wii‘s Virtual Console, unfortunately this game was only released in the NES form for this download.The NES version(on the left) had a lot less feature than the SNES version(on the right). The SNES version had improved game-play features and graphics. The game had improved Vs. Com which features a best of three out of five match ups against opponents with increased difficulty, finishing with a battle against the yellow man himself. Other improvements include a hidden super difficult mode and stored records.

This isn’t like Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario All Stars, they would make more money by selling the SNES Version. I guess the most likely reason for them not releasing the SNES version is that the SNES version, as far as I could see on the internet, was never released in Japan. I doubt Nintendo will release the SNES version anytime soon, if at all.
