Nintendo is Keeping it casual, as they did with Wii Sports, With a fitness focussed game called Wii Fit.

WiiFit was shown by Nintendo at their E3 press conference today along with, a bundled peripheral, a pressure-sensitive Wii Balance Board that senses whare your feet are placed and how much weight is being applied. One thing i would like to note is this as a higher level of functionality when it comes to input. Unlike a tough screen, like on the Nintendo DS, This pad read Multiple points. In addition to that it reads how much weight is applied to each of these points.

Fact Sheet:
KEY INFORMATION
The hit combination of Wii Sports™ and the Wii Remote™ brought golf swings and tennis serves into people’s homes. Now Nintendo turns the living room into a fitness center for the whole family with Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. Family members will have fun getting a “core” workout, and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu.* Lean to block soccer balls, swivel hips to power hoop twirls or balance to hold the perfect yoga pose. As users stand on the Wii Balance Board, included with Wii Fit, their body’s overall balance is tied to the game in a way they’ve never experienced before.
* Wii Fit also uses the Wii Balance Board for daily tests. These evaluate two key measures that a household can track via progress charts:
o Body Mass Index (BMI): A weight evaluation based on a ratio of weight to height.
o Wii Fit Age: The Wii Fit Age is measured by factoring the user’s BMI reading, testing the user’s center of gravity and conducting quick balance tests.
* Wii Fit includes more than 40 types of training activities designed to appeal to all members of a household. Training falls into four fitness categories:
o Aerobic Exercise: 10-minute exercises that are designed to get the heart pumping.
o Muscle Conditioning: Controlled motions using arms, legs and other body parts.
o Yoga Poses: Classic poses that focus on balance and stretching.
o Balance Games: Fun activities, such as ski jumping and heading soccer balls, that challenge the player’s overall body balance.

They did however announce that the game will be Wi-Fi. and they also gave information on a Wii Wheel which is a steering wheel housing for the Wii Remote. Personally I think Wiill Sound like a cool name.

Some information about Steven Spielberg projects has just been officially released.
Electronic Arts Inc. today revealed the first details surrounding two of the three new original intellectual properties in development at EA Los Angeles (EALA) in collaboration with Academy Award winning director and producer, Steven Spielberg.
“I am a gamer myself and game development has always intrigued me,” said Steven Spielberg. “Now I’ve been able to jump in and do it, enjoying the creative collaboration with the EALA team on our first two games and I feel we have two incredibly unique projects in development.”
“Steven’s vision as both a storyteller and a gamemaker makes partnering with him an incredible experience,” noted General Manager Neil Young. “Together we’re making games that are unique and that we feel will each move the medium in their own way.”
As an exclusive for the Wii from Nintendo, the first of the two projects will allow for players of all ages to compete in over a hundred challenging, action-packed interactive games that take blocks to a new level of creativity and fun for single player, co-op, and versus gameplay. Additionally, use the Wii remote to build your own fun games and structures or turn the same Wii remote into a destructive tool to bring them crashing down.
The second, and more ambitious project in development, is a contemporary action-packed adventure that puts you in the leading role of an emotional journey where your actions tell the tale. Set against the backdrop of an epic story, the game focuses on a touching and ever-changing relationship between you and a mysterious female character who holds the key to many futures. The game is in development for PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360™ videogame and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PC. No ship timeframe has been disclosed.
“Through our partnership we are delivering games that are not only engaging and compelling with interactivity, but we hope can also move people emotionally,” noted Young.
“I am truly enjoying the creative collaboration and we hope that gamers will be as excited as we are about what we can bring to the medium through our shared vision,” added Spielberg.
