Yesterday, Electronic Arts Inc. and Maxis announced that Spore would be hitting the shelves some time in September. The first release will include the PC, Macintosh, Nintendo DS, and mobile versions of the game.

The Wii version is in in the design stage right now, and will not come at the same time of PC, Macintosh, Nintendo DS, and mobile version’s release. Right now the developers are mainly concerned with the “core version”, and the Wii version is not their top priority.

The DS and mobile version of the game will be called Spore Creatures
When asked about the Nintendo DS version of the game, Spore Executive Producer, Lucy Bradshaw said “DS players will be able to share stuff with DS players via local network and Wi-Fi.” The PC and Mac versions of the game are like five games in one, the Nintendo DS version of the game focuses on the “Creature” portion of the main game, hence why it’s called Spore Creatures.
The Nintendo DS version of the game will also encompass the core aspects of what Spore is about Creativity, Exploration, and Evolution. The Nintendo DS version will also include more of a quest than its PC counterpart
The North American release is set to be during the weekend of September 7. The European release date of PC, Macintosh, Nintendo DS, and Mobile versions of the game is currently set at September 5th.

I’m planning on doing a Podcast in the near future. I’m trying to get other blogs to join the PodCast. What do I hope to be the podcast topic of discussion? The gaming industry, Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, upcoming games and basically anything Gaming.
I’ll probably do the legs of the work, or hire out the work. Since I don’t plan on having all of us actually come to the same place, I plan to connect everyone with VOIP, voice chat, or traditional phone lines. have more than one person running your blog, that’s fine, the more the better. If you own a blog, please E-mail me at RLK89@RLK89.com, or better yet, call me at 1-586-212-2999.

I’m currently learning Japanese. I need articles, pictures, and what have you, to translate for experience. If you have anything you want translated that’s video game related please send them to me. The easiest way to summit them is posting them as a comment, and if you have anything specifically you want out of the translation, such as a an answer to the question please post that along with the comment.
- I prefer small things.(short translations)
- I’ll try to translate all types of Japanese writing. (Kana, Kanji, Rōmaji)
- Make Sure it’s video game related.

Do video games have a hold on you? Do you play compulsively? Have you isolated yourself from family, friends, or social interaction. Do you feel better betting a boss than achieving something in real life? Gaming has you under it influence. Do games change the way Americans think? The way the world thinks? Gaming has the world under it’s influence.
